A ceremony celebrating the life of Albert M. “Shank” Rouyea will be 12 noon Saturday at Graceworks Church, 16113 LA Highway 44, Gonzales; visitation will begin at 9 am. Services will be officiated by Rev. Bobby Ready. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery Gonzales. Mr. Rouyea was born on September 28, 1940 in St Amant and departed from this life on Monday July 1, 2019 at his home. He was a resident of St Amant; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was an avid sports fan of the New Orleans Saints and especially LSU Tigers. He is preceded in death by his parents Sidney Joseph and Loucille Hebert Rouyea; brothers Roy, Herbert, Herman and Curtis. Survivors include his wife Beverly Young Rouyea; children Dwayne, Brady, Keith, and Karla Staley (George); brothers John and Alton; grandchildren Kaken and Tristen Staley, Robin Rouyea (Brittany), and Chelsea Rouyea; great grandchildren Brennan, Brantley, Beau, Bryce and Blair; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
