Alfonso Diaz, Sr. “Poncho”

Alfonso Joaquin Diaz, Sr. “Poncho” a long-time resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed at the age of 89, March 27, 2018 at 10:40am at his home peacefully in the loving arms of his family. He was a master upholsterer at Denicola’s Upholstery for over 40 years. He was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. He is preceded in death by his first wife Manuela Serra Diaz. Survivors include his second wife Gloria Maria Arbelaez Diaz; his children Juliette Maria Diaz Shackleford(Carl), Marlene Diaz Delatte (David), Alfonso “Al” Joaquin Diaz, Jr.(Donna); grandchildren Micah Phillips(Lacye), David Phillips, Hannah Phillips, Jordan Diaz, Jessica McCrary, Sadie and Jake Diaz.
