Ana H. Torres

A Mass celebrating the life of Ana Herminda Torres will be 10 am Saturday at St Theresa of Avila Catholic Church; wake will begin at 9 am; interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery Gonzales. Officiating the service will be Fr. Eric Gyan.Known as “Mama T or Anita”, she was born on May 12, 1937 in Anapoima Colombia and departed from this life on December 20, 2018 at the age of 81 years. She was a past resident of Wiggins, Mississippi and a resident of Oxford for over twenty years; where she owned and operated Mama T’s Daycare. She is preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.Survivors include her daughter Patricia T. and her husband James D. Jackson; grandchildren Thomas Andrew Jackson and Ana Maria Jackson; great granddaughter Hailey Pelzel; also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
