Andria “Dre” Bailey Polk Jackson entered into eternal rest on Sunday February 6, 2022 at the age of 67. She was born May 7, 1954 to the late Lindarella Merrit Bailey Taylor and the late Moses Bell in New Orleans. She was a loving mother of LaShan Polk, Carolinda Polk and Isreal Thompson. Andria accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age at Stronger Hope Missionary Baptize Church.
Andria, graduated from Walter L Cohen Sr. High School class of 1974. She then pursued a career as a CNA and also worked as a teacher’s assistant. She was a fun, loving and caring person who enjoyed family gatherings and living life to the fullest. Her “SMILE” reminds everyone that it is important to “Live every moment, Laugh everyday, and Love beyond words!”
Andria leaves to cherish her memories three children; two daughters LaShan Polk and Carolinda Polk and one son, Israel (Jodie) Thompson. Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Four siblings, Alvin (Linda) Bailey Sr, Rita B. Johnson, Hollis (Gale) Bailey Sr. and Carol (Jerry) Stovall. Two loving friends, Juliette Jefferson and Doreatha Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Andria was preceded in death by her parents, Lindarella Bailey Taylor and Moses Bell; stepfather Clarence Bailey and one brother Raymond Bailey Sr.
