Anita Fleegle

Thadis Anita Fleegle, 78, of Holden passed away Sunday, March 24th 2024. She was a homemaker and a graduate of Walker High School. She was a very loving and caring person. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, especially around the holidays. She was a very good cook and loved to cook for everyone. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone she met. 

She is survived by her daughter, Cherie Shelton, sons Dale Williams and Nolan Gaudin, stepson Paul (Tina) Fleegle; three grandchildren, Tyler and Shaylin Shelton, Bradley Fleegle; one sister Hilda Sasser (Ed); two great-grandchildren, Zea Williams and Oakley Shelton, Nieces, Shelia (Eddie) Lewis, Sonya (Jerry) West, Diane (Jimmy) Hollowell, Allison (Ken) McMorris, One Nephew, Mike Sasser. Great-Nieces, Rebecca (Kyle) Bailey, Dannie Leigh (Lance) Fremin, Amber (Mark) Colona, Katie Hollowell, Brittany (Kyle) Strother, Lauren Sasser, Kendyl Carpenter. Great-Nephews, Charlie (Laura) Lewis, Wade Lewis, Joseph (Bethany) Baxter, and Hunter McMorris. She is also survived by several great-great nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Fleegle; her parents Carl and Pauline Sibley, sisters: Edna Robinson and Carolyn Medlen: brother-in-Law Terry Medlen; niece Marty Cunningham; and grandson Cameron Shelton. 

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at Judson Baptist Church 32470 Walker Rd. N, Walker LA 70785. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, with a religious service to be conducted at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Carter Cemetery in Springfield LA. Services will be officiated by Rev. Harold Haynes. Pallbearers Mike Sasser, Peyton Trapen, Kaylan Dunn, Tyler Shelton, Valentin Amador and Guadalupe Montano. Arrangements by Church Services.
