Archie was born in Santa Rosa County, FL. He was a resident of Maurepas, LA. He passed away peacefully at home with family on April 13, 2019. Archie was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Army from 1971-1977. He had a love for his family, friends, fishing, picking flowers for his loved ones, and for his country. Archie is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Agnes Moore, son Archie H. Moore Jr., granddaughter Makayla Reigh Scott, four brothers; Walter, Oscar, and Robert Moore, and Bascom (Paul) Ward. Also, one sister, Gladys (Eloise) Howard. He leaves behind three daughters; Gladys (Jerry) Dixon, Heather (Raymond) Scott, and Alexis Moore. Five granddaughters; Maygan (Francisco) Acosta- Garcia, Londyn Dixon, Aubree Moore, Jaci Moore, and Adelyn Moore. Four grandsons; Bryan Dixon, Dayne Scott, Dylan Scott, and Braylon Moore; great grandchildren, Abel Acosta Garcia and Annabella Dixon; his two sisters, Alice Shane and Helen Roche. His brother Alvin Moore and his fishing buddy Seth Scott. Service will be held at The Venue in St. Amant. Viewing is 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2019.
