Arthur Hood Jr

A ceremony celebrating the life of Arthur “Junior” Hood Jr., will be held on Saturday December 14, 2024, at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church visitation will begin at 11:00 am until time of the service at 1:00 pm, officiating Rev. Jerry Arnold and Rev. Mike Craig. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Mr. Hood was born in Denham Springs on May 21, 1945, and departed from this life on December 9, 2024, at Golden Age Healthcare Center. He was a resident of Denham Springs, retired carpenter, a longtime member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, and enjoyed spending time fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Ruby Mae LeJeune Hood, son John Lawson Hood, infant daughter Brenda Ann Hood, and a brother Charles Hood.

Survivors include his son Russell Allen Hood, brothers William Norwood Hood and James “Bud” Hood (Linda), also survived by other relatives, friends and church family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to be used by the family to honor Junior’s life and memory.
