Known by all as “ANNETTE, aunt Net & Mamaw Net.”
She was a sister, an aunt, a mother, a Grandmother, a Great-Grandmother, a Great Great-Grandmother, & a Friend to everyone she knew. Mom loved her family with great care & compassion.
Barbara Annette Miller Delatte, age 83, Resident of Albany, LA, passed over to Glory early Friday morning, Nov 18th, 2022 at her home from multiple health issues. She’s now celebrating eternal life with Jesus, pain free! It didn’t matter what she was going through or how she felt she still stood in the gap & prayed for everyone & everything. She was a prayer warrior.
Annette was born on Aug 9th, 1939 to Percy O’Neal & Massie Augusta Lea Miller in New Orleans, LA. She was the 4th child of six brothers & one special sister. She grew up in Hillsdale, LA & went to Woodlawn High School. She was married 56 years to her late husband, Larry Ralph Delatte & had 2 children. Their daughter, Barbara Giroir married to Thomas Giroir & son, Ronald Delatte. Her garden grew with blessings of seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren & one great great grandson. She tended her garden well by her constant prayers & loving support.
The family request that donations be made to the OLOL Children’s Hospital or the Gideons in memory of their mother instead of flowers.
A ceremony celebrating the life of Barbara Anette Delatte, of Albany, will be held on Sunday November 27, 2022, at 3 pm. Visitation will begin at 2 pm, at Second Baptist Church, Jackson, LA.
