Barbara Ann Young was born to Marshall and Velma Young Sr. on May 25, 1954 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Barbara Ann transitioned from her earthly to her heavenly home on Monday, November 23, 2020 in Baton Rouge.
Barbara Anna Young professed her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. G. C. Jacobs. Barbara graduated from Peabody High school class of 1972. She furthered her education and graduated from Southern University class of 1976 and relocated to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She began her career as a QMR/DDP at the Department of Health and Hospitals. Prior to her death she worked as a substitute teacher at Clayborn Elementary for three years.
Barbara Ann Young was preceded in death by her parents, Velma and Marshall Young Sr; Sisters, Connie Deadmon and Brenda Lane; brothers, Marshall Young Jr. and Oscar Wayne Young.
Barbara leaves to cherish her life; Aunts, Lilly Bell Martin of New Orleans, Louisiana, Isabella Busby of Houston, Texas and Johnetta Berry of Alexandria, Louisiana; Uncle, Henry Vercher of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Sister, Patricia Brown of Alexandria, Louisiana; Brothers, Wiley Young and Charles Calvin of Alexandria, Louisiana. Her endless love remains with her nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of coworkers and friends.
