Betty Branum Long, age 93, of Central LA. passed away on Tuesday October 11th, 2022 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, La. Betty was born on January 21st, 1929 in Baton Rouge, LA She retired from Boilermaker Union in Baton Rouge where she served as the secretary/bookkeeper for 22 years. Betty enjoyed and was talented at sewing and cross stitching. She was a member and volunteer at Zoar Baptist Church for 64 years. Betty taught Sunday School and GA’s She was a member of the WMU and president of WMU in 1961 and 1962.
Betty was a devoted mother and is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Long Wurzbach (John), sons Michael (Linda) and Marvin (Annie). She was a loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Barbara Lee Perrault.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, M.B. Long, parents David and Annie Branum and four brothers, J.W., David, Elgene, and Alvin Ray Branum.

Visitation at Zoar Baptist Church, 11848 Hooper Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70818 on Saturday October 15th, from 9 am-11am. Funeral services to follow at 11:00 A.M. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park, in Baton Rouge on Monday October 17th, 2022, at 11 A.M. Church Funeral Services and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
