I go to prepare a place for you.” Bobbye went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 10, 2018, at her residence in Walker at the age of 83. She was a native of Abita Springs and was retired from Blue Cross. She loved, cooking, gardening, reading, vacationing in the Smokey Mountains and day trips with her beloved husband Burlon. She was a member of Revival Temple Church. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Giles and Donald; her son Ricki Rosenthal and Tami; grandchildren, Colbi, Jennifer, Anna and spouse Chris, and Kim; great-granddaughter, Emma; numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and dear friends Carl and Jenny Cutrer. Preceded in death by husband, Burlon Ray McGehee; parents, Frank Foster Abney and Alma E. Lemons Abney; brothers, Sonny, Jeff, Mickey and Douglas. Saturday, March 17th visitation will be held at Revival Temple Church in Walker starting 10:00 AM until a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
