Bobbye Wood Chick was born on October 21, 1933 in the state of Arkansas and passed from this life on Thursday February 4, 2021 at Our Lady of the lake Regional Medical Center Baton Rouge at the age of 87 years.
Bobbye was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her greatest passion was loving and caring for her family and fur babies.
She was a resident of Gonzales and worked retail most of her life and will be remembered for her years spent working at TG&Y, and K-Mart.
She valued God and family above all else. She found joy and fulfillment in caring for her family. She loved all animals and had many fur babies throughout her lifetime and loved them dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ruth Rollins Wood, sisters Geneva Johnson, Jewell Williams, Ava Cardin, and Roberta Butler, her daughter Lizabeth Glaze.
Survivors include her husband Franklin D. Chick, children Robert Greenfield (Debbie), Paul Greenfield, Jackie Wick (Billy), and Jaime Castjohn, grandchildren Micah Darby (Jimmy), Andy Greenfield (Rhonda), Aaron Greenfield (Britany), Kane Phillip Glaze Jr., Dakota Glaze, Jandi Rose Glaze, Meghan Wick, Brooke Wick, Taylor Wick, Cassidy Castjohn, and Nicholas Castjohn (Jocelyn), great grandchildren Samuel Timothy, Miles Elijah, and Jordan Elizabeth Greenfield, Hayden James and Kayla Rose Darby, Karis Jade Greenfield, Kenna Grace Mincks, and Cora Lizabeth Merrell, and her beloved fur babies Roly and P. Kitty.
A gathering celebrating the life of Bobbye will be held on Monday February 8, 2021 at Ourso’s Gonzales from 12:30 pm until 3:00 pm.
