Brad Paul Collins

April 23, 1966 — November 29, 2024

Belle Rose

Brad Paul Collins, born on April 23, 1966 (58), a native of Napoleonville, went home to Jesus on November 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in the home they built together. Brad ensured this home would be a place of love and special memories. During its construction, Brad, Michelle, Jobi, and Cherish buried a Bible and a family time capsule in the foundation and wrote scriptures on the framing inside the walls. Brad courageously fought stage 4 Glioblastoma for four years and two months. The battle is over, and he now stands forever victorious in the presence of his Maker. To know Brad was to love Brad. He was a living testimony to the power of love and joy found in Jesus. This love and joy gave him an extraordinary ability to make people feel deeply loved, seen, and valued. He was a true man of God who, for years, poured his heart into the lives of the people in the multiple churches and communities God had called him to pastor. Whether through a story to brighten your day, encouraging words, or a kind smile, genuine compassion radiated from him in everything Brad did. His bright blue eyes sparkled with warmth and empathy. His sense of humor was infectious. He had an uncanny way of making people feel valued and care for all while making them laugh. Brad leaves a legacy of selfless love and encouragement. His presence will be deeply missed, but the imprint he left on the many hearts he touched will never fade. He is leaving them with cherished memories of a heart full of faith, love, and joy. His unwavering commitment to others was born from his love of Jesus. His loss is profoundly felt, but his legacy will live on through his wife, children, the grandsons he so adored, and the countless people whose lives he touched. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Michelle Breaux Collins; his children, Jobi Paul Collins, Cherish Collins Kennedy and husband Arthur Kennedy; grandchildren Bradley Arthur Kennedy and Ezra Legend Collins; his parents, Clifton Collins Sr. and Diana Thornton; In-Laws, who took him in as their own, Wilton (Tilt) Breaux and Wilma Bailey Breaux; brothers, Clifton Collins Jr. and wife Robin Collins, and Jude Collins and wife Stephanie Collins. Sister-in-law Jennifer Breaux Spindel, her children Dre' Daigle and Bailey Bergeron, as well as many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his stepparents, Ken Thornton and Brenda Cancienne Collins; brother Chad Collins; paternal grandparents, Fleravant Collins and Elisha Collins; and maternal grandparents, Nelson Gros and Lavita Gros. Services will be held at Community Worship Center (6688 HWY 70 Belle Rose, La, 70341) on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Memorial 10:00am funeral service 11:00am. All are welcome to celebrate the blessing of his life as we mourn his passing.
