Carol Jane Babin

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Carol Jane Babin of Gonzales, LA on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 72 years. She will be lovingly remembered by friends and family.

Carol was known for her twinkling blue eyes and bright smile which brought happiness to everyone. It was truly a blessing to know her. She resided at Ascension Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Center since 2013 and enjoyed visits from anyone and everyone. In her earlier years, she liked going to movies, listening to rock-n-roll music, and would often crochet with Grandma Laura Babin. Carol always had a story to share about these times. She will be greatly missed by her family and all her friends at Ascension Oaks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ashton Babin and Carriet Lanoux Babin, survived by one uncle, Lionel Babin Sr. as well as numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church from 8:30 am – 10:00 am. A mass will immediately follow.
