A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Charles Alvin Duplessis will be 11 am Tuesday at St. Mark Catholic Church; wake begins at 9 am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Mausoleum with Military Honors. Mr. Duplessis was born on October 1, 1941 in New Orleans and departed from this life on Friday October 5, 2018 at the age of 77 years. He was a resident of Gonzales and worked with LA Highway Department. He served with the U S Army as a Specialist 4 working as a mechanic. He loved his Cajun and gospel music; also, taking care of his fruity trees. He especially enjoyed singing and writing music. He is preceded in death by his parents Oswald and Alice Duplessis, brothers Gerald and Joseph Duplessis. Survivors include his wife Linda B. Duplessis; daughters Randi Marshall (Kevin), and Karen Montgomery (Michael); siblings Gloria Hidalgo and Benard Duplessis; grandsons Caleb, Kegan, Chandler and Tyler; also survived by other relatives and friends.
