A gathering celebrating the life of Charles P. Hartley IV, will be held at 2 pm on Saturday February 24, 2018 at the UCT Hall, 11175 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, La. 70815. Charles was born in Baton Rouge on October 21, 1960. He departed from this life on Monday February 5, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. Charles, a resident of Baton Rouge, died at the age of 57 years. He was employed with the State of Louisiana in the Office of Disability Determinations, He was of the Catholic Faith. Charles will be remembered as a devoted son, brother and friend. He had an awesome voice that he shared in song. He was a popular performer at Theatre of Baton Rouge and Baker Little Theatre He enjoyed time spent with friends and had a passion for great food. He is preceded in death by his father Charles P. Hartley III, his mother Ruby Tuiller Hartley, his siblings Rebecca Ann Hartley and Christopher Joseph Hartley. Survivors include his twin brother John L. Hartley, sister Ramona Hartley Johnson and her husband Bill; also survived by dear friends and relatives. Memorials preferred to John Hartley to defer expenses.
