Charles "Jeremy" Polozola, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, was born on July 23,
1973. Sadly, he passed away on May 31, 2024, at his residence from complications with
diabetes.
He loved fishing with his dad and nephews, lunches with friends, boiling crawfish and
boating with his stepbrother, Jeff. He became a police cadet at the age of 18 and proudly
served 30 years with the Baton Rouge City Police Department, ultimately rising to the rank
of Lieutenant. Jeremy graduated from Central High School and was a member of St.
Alphonsus Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, "Memaw" Enola Bouquet and Maw Maw
Betty Polozola; grandfathers, Paw Paw Bouquet and Peter Polozola, Sr.; uncles, Peter
Polozola, Jr. and Philip Polozola and stepbrother, Brett Broussard.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Jean Cary (Craig) and Charles “Buddy” Polozola (Callie);
a beloved sister, Tiffany Penton (Jeremy); two dear nephews, Grant and Beau Penton; step
brothers and sisters; Jeffrey Cary (Gade), Michelle Germany (Tim), Jennifer Ginn (Tyler),
Jason Cary, Dr. Jamie Broussard (Nicole), Todd Broussard (Sharon), Lance Broussard
(Kristen); two favorite aunts, Toni Watson (Mark) and Phyllis Starks "Nannie"; uncles,
Dwight Bouquet, Randy Bouquet (JoAnna) and David Bouquet.
Visitation will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 9:30
a.m., rosary at 10:45 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. His burial will follow at
Resthaven Gardens.
