Christopher Lance Ward, born on January 18, 1983, in Ferriday, Louisiana, passed away unex-pectedly at his home in West Monroe on August 25, 2024, at the age of 41. 

Lance was a man of many passions, with a particular love for gun-smithing. He enjoyed restoring guns to make them appear antique, a hobby that showcased his meticulous attention to detail and creativity. His personality was marked by his loyalty, passion, and the immense love he held for his family and friends. Known for his fierce protective nature, Lance was also the quintessential family man, deeply devoted to his wife and children. He married Keysha Ward, who was not only his wife but his best friend. 

Lance demonstrated his unwavering and all-consuming love for her daily. He was a doting father to Desari, 17, Hayden, 13, Keylan, 11, and Ak, 4, embracing the joys and challenges of fatherhood with open arms and a full heart. Lance's family was central to his life. 

He was a beloved son to Lori Emfinger and a brother to Heather Gross and Jessica Bradley. His role as an uncle to Myles and Enoch was filled with encouragement and cheer, always supporting their endeavors with enthusiasm. His character was defined by his genuine spirit, warrior's heart, and the protective love he ex- tended to all who knew him. Lance never met a stranger and was always the first to offer help, putting others before himself. His loss leaves a void in the hearts of many, especially his family who viewed him as their biggest blessing. 

Lance is survived by his loving wife, Keysha; his children, Desari, Hayden, Keylan, and Ak; his mother, Lori Emfinger; sisters, Heather Gross and Jessica Bradley; and his nephews, Myles and Enoch. 

His memory will be cherished and kept alive by the many lives he touched. Lance Ward was truly a one-of-a-kind individual whose legacy of love, protection, and selflessness will not be forgotten. He will be unbelievably missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
