Cleo M. Gayle “Honey”

A ceremony celebrating the life of Cleo M. “Honey” Gayle will be held at 12:00pm Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Springville Baptist Church,22902 LA Highway 42, Livingston, LA 70754. Visitation will begin Tuesday evening July 24, 2018 from 5:30pm to 9:00pm and will resume Wednesday morning July 25, 2018 from 9:00am until time of service at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at the Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, LA. Officiated by Brother Steve Arledge, Brother Joe Starns and Brother Donnie Martin. Honey was born on October 24, 1915 in Frost, LA and passed away on July 20, 2018 at home in Springville, LA. Survivors include her daughters Mary Gayle Taylor (Roosevelt), Birdie Gayle Martin (Jimmy), son Charles Lee Gayle, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren 22 great-great grandchildren, special grandson Jimmy O. Robertson, special friends Silvie and Janette McMorris, numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband John T. Gayle, parents Marion and Mae McCon, daughter Edna Gayle Davis, sisters Ruth McCon Watts, Cloe McCon Lanclois, Jewel McCon Lester, daughter-in-law Helen Watts Gayle, 3 grandsons, and 1 great- great granddaughter. Pallbearers will be Allen Watts, Donald Martin, Daryl Sibley, Ricky Taylor, Ashton Brown, Brayden Reeves and Delbert Martin.
