A ceremony celebrating the life of Clyde R. Landry will be 11:00am on Friday October 18, 2019 at Healing Place Church, visitation will begin at 9:30am. Mr. Landry was born on February 9, 1946 in Paincourtville and passed from this life on October 6, 2019 at his residence at the age of 73 years. He was a resident of Gonzales and attended Healing Place Church, and Assumption High School in Napoleonville. He was a member of Walter-Lanier Lodge 307 Thibodaux, LA. He worked as a pipeline welder and welding inspector, currently employed by Ascension Parish Department of Public Works. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and raising his animals; and loved to dance and especially time spent with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Jacquelyn LeBlanc Landry; daughter, Crystal L. LaCoste; grandson, Judd A. Giroir; parents, Cullen and Alma Rousseau Landry; siblings, Camille Reavis, Elaine Fastring, and Emmett Landry. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Burt Landry; daughter, Bonnie Giroir; son in law, Jason Giroir; stepchildren, Denise, Sidney, Casey “Pot,” Donnie, Rusty, and Stacey; grandchildren, Branden Landry, Cherrish, Leadd and Readd LaCoste, and Jay Giroir; great grandchild, Riley Jane Giroir; also survived by 2 sisters, 7 brothers, 17 step grandchildren, 23 step great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Service will be held at Healing Place Church on Friday, October 18, 2019. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am until service begins at 11 am. The burial with graveside service will follow on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Cemetery starting at 9:30 am. A memorial luncheon will be held in the church hall following the graveside memorial.
