Colleen Valentine

Colleen Valentine, better known as Laverne Valentine, passed away Wednesday, November 4th, 2021, at 91 years of age. She was born in Greensburg, LA on January 13th, 1930, and left this world at her home in Greenwell Springs. She was a dedicated homemaker and prayer warrior for most of her life. She is survived by daughters Carolyn Haynes (Charles) and Dianne Baker, as well her son Douglas Valentine (Jackie). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Huey Valentine, son Lawrence Valentine, son-in-law Bo Baker, brothers Lavelle, Elmus, Raymond, and James Addison, as well as parents Charlie and Thelma Foster Addison. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 8th, 2021, at Milldale Baptist Church, 11950 Milldale Rd, Zachary, LA 70791 Visitation will be open to the public at 9:00 AM, with services to begin at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Danny Greig, followed by an interment at Milldale Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Allen Dugas, Lawson Dugas, Julian Faulk, Matthew McCleary, Mason Miley, and Bradley Valentine.
