Dale Joseph Schexnayder

Dale Joseph Schexnayder, age 72, was born on November 13, 1948. He was a resident of Sorrento, Louisiana. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospice, The Carpenter House surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Brady Schexnayder; and their children, Blair (Shea) Schexnayder, Dana (Phillip) Mitchell, Dawn (Jeremy) Keller; grandchildren, Blaine, Taylor, Britney, Kaleb, Aaron; great grandson, Bentlee; sister, Dolores Hester; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Agnes Schexnayder. Pallbearers are Blaine Schexnayder, Taylor Mitchell, Kaleb Mitchell, Ryan Gaudet, Clint Gaudet, and Brent Schexnayder, with honorary pallbearer, Aaron Keller. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Visitation will be at Sorrento Baptist Church on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 9:00am until funeral service at 12:00pm. Service will be conducted by Pastor Terry Simmoneaux and Pastor Phillip Mitchell. Burial will be at Hope Haven Garden of Memory immediately following the service.
