There was a man sent from God, whose name was Daniel E. Ford. Daniel was born in Jonesville, La April 14, 1939, to Zeke and Lettie Belle Creel Ford. A gentle loving man, he departed this life on Saturday, November 4, 2017. After retiring as an industrial purchasing agent, he followed his dream of handcrafting electric guitars, mandolins, steel guitars, and fiddles for the glory of God. He became an expert luthier and enjoyed working in his shop until the August 13, 2016 flood. He was a dedicated member of First Pentecostal Church of Denham Springs. He and his wife, Gladys Goldsby Ford, were devoted to loving God and walking hand in hand with him throughout their journey. He is survived by his wife Gladys, and three children: Sheryl Tharp (Doug), Kirby Ford (Amanda), and Deborah Ford, and step daughter Susie McDonald (Billy): his sister Laurice Netherland; also survived by six grandchildren and his special lap dog Baby Girl. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dewey “D. C.”, Henry, and Alton; his sisters Alean and Betty Raye (infant). Visitation will be held at First Pentecostal Church, 1020 South Range Avenue, Denham Springs on Monday November 6, after 6 pm until 9 pm; and will resume on Tuesday at 9 am until time of service at 10 am. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery, 4045 North Street, Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be Steven Ford, Lester Hale, Dale Inman, Lynn Johnson, Curles McGee, and Jeff Vining.
