Danny Arceneaux

Danny Arceneaux, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Our Lady of the Lake Ascension in Gonzales. He was a native of Gonzales, LA and the son of Horace Arceneaux and the late Myrtle Braud Arceneaux. He was preceded in death by his mother, stepmother; Alberta Arceneaux; sons, Daniel Arceneaux, Jr and Brady Joseph Arceneaux; grandfather, Forrest Braud; grandmother, Madeleine Braud; granddaughter, Lauren Chidester. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mabel “Virginia” Cambre Arceneaux; father, sons, Wayne “Tony” Arceneaux (Maria), Gary Paul Arceneaux (Debbie) and Billy Arceneaux (Kayla); sister; Carol Guitreau (Larry); daughter-in-law, Jackie Guil beau; 14 grandchildren; Jason Beck, Tiffany Woodward, Brittany White, Ashley Chidester, Jonathan Jacobson, Bradie Duplessis, Stephen Ledell, Kelsey Delaune, Miranda Estain, Braylie Arceneaux, Amber Daws, Ann Marie Arceneaux, Jon Luke Arceneaux, and Dae Arceneaux; 21 great-grandchildren. Danny was the owner and operator for 20 years of a sporting goods store, operated industrial boilers and kilns in the construction business and before his retirement for 10 years, an HVAC worker. An avid drag racer, competitive bass fisherman who participated in tournaments, football and spending his best times with the family during cookouts. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
