Darren Jay Blount Sr.
A ceremony celebrating the life of Darren Jay Blount Sr., will be held 1 pm on Saturday October 22, 2022, at First United Pentecostal Church Denham Springs, visitation will be Friday 6 pm until 10 pm and will resume on Saturday at 11 am until time of the service. Officiating the service will be Rev. Billy Johnson, Bro. Collin McClendon, and Rev. Robert Jones. Interment will follow at Sykes Cemetery Holden under the direction of Church Funeral Services.
Darren was born on September 6, 1966, in Baton Rouge and passed from this life on Tuesday October 18, 2022, at the age of 56 years.
He was a resident of Holden and employed with Ellis Electric. He enjoyed being a collector (of many things), antique and hot rod cars, knives, guns, fishing, and four-wheeler riding. His passion was time spent with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond G. Blount Sr.; son, Darren “D. J.” Blount Jr.; stepfather, Joe Stewart; and a brother, Kevin Blount.
Survivors include his children, Jessica and Jacob Blount; his companion Nikki Kuehn; mother, Norma S. Stewart; brother, Raymond Blount Jr.; stepdaughter, Traci Kuehn, grandchildren Tharren, Brook, Aleeiah, and Sonny; sisters, Tammy Gill & husband Bobby, and Tracy Ragusa & husband Tim; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
