A ceremony celebrating the life of David Ramsey Rose will be held on Saturday May 4, 2024, at First United Pentecostal Church Denham Springs, visitation will begin at 10:00 until time of service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow with Military Honors at Milldale Baptist Church Cemetery Zachary.
Mr. Rose was born in Port Arthur, Texas on March 13, 1947, and passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday May 1, 2024, at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center at the age of 77 years.
He was a resident of Geismar, a member of First United Pentecostal Church Denham Springs, and a volunteer with BellSouth Pioneers. He had a longtime Telecommunications and IT career with Southcentral Bell, Bellsouth, Shell, Eatel, Cox Communications, The Church Academy and Christian Life Academy.
He served with the United States Army as an Army Security Agency during the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his parents William Love and Boyce Cochran Rose, a sister Jacqueline Brown.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Lumpkin Rose, children Mindy Althea Rose, William Haskel Rose (wife Molly), and Rev. Joshua David Rose, Sr., (wife Cindy); grandchildren AnnMarie Brumley, Joshua Rose, Jr., Adam Rose, Abigail Rose, Shaunnessy Rose, Judah Rose, and Ardan Rose.
