Deborah Trosclair (Estay) passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2022, after a courageous fight with breast cancer. A lifelong resident of Harahan, Louisiana, Deborah is now reunited in Heaven with her parents Sidney & Beulah Parks Estay, and treasured son Maxime Charles Landry (Charlie). She is survived by brother Tommy Estay (Irene), and sister Brenda E. Gauthreaux (Robert). With her colorful nature and wonderfully over the top outfits, Deborah was affectionately known as the family peacock. She always had a room available and welcomed anyone in need of a place to stay. Whether she was cooking, sewing, or making flower arrangements, her refrigerator was always filled with the sweetest tea on earth. Researching family history and passing it down to future generations was one of her many passions. She will be greatly missed by nephew Stephen Estay (Shanna) nieces Sarah Estay (Ashlynn), Rachel Gauthreaux (Anthony), and Rebecca Gauthreaux (Gino), great nieces Chloe & Alyssa Estay, and Aria Balbuena.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Deborah’s maternal aunts Thelma and Rosalie and uncle Johnny in Marksville, as well as her extended family and many friends for filling her final weeks with phone calls and visits full of memories, laughter, smiles, and king cake. We are forever grateful to the staff at Compasses Hospice for all of their kindness, support, and care. At Deborah’s request, interment will be private. Arrangements with Church Funeral Services, St Amant.
