It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Debra “Ducky” Maddox, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Debby passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, at the age of 70.
Born on June 14, 1954, in Jacksonville, Florida, and resided in Baker County, Debby spent her early years surrounded by the beauty of nature and a tight-knit community that she loved. She moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1994 with her family.
A lover of books, Debby had a special fondness for the works of Stephen King. In addition to her love of literature, she shared her home with her two beloved dogs, Louie and Willow, her faithful chihuahua companions who provided her with joy and loyalty throughout the years.
Debby was a devoted mother to her son and daughter, Skip Mann & Jody (Mann) Pike. She took great pride in her family. With love for her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, whose laughter and smiles were her greatest treasures.
She is also survived by many friends who will miss her deeply.
A brief memorial service will be held on March 22, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Oak Grove Cemetery in Macclenny, FL, where we will gather to celebrate her life and honor who she was. This service is open to all who would like to join.
