Delores Mae Bazile

Delores Mae Bazile, a native and resident of Whitehall, Louisiana died Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the age of 92.  She was the loving mother of David Bazile; Donnell Bazile and wife Lucy Bazile; Sheila Wilkinson and husband Cecil Wilkinson, Jr.; and Valerie Bazile.  Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.  Delores was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Bazile; father, Numa Fontenot; mother, Ozea Dupuy Fontenot; brothers Nelson Fontenot, Ellis Fontenot and wife Elsie Fontenot; a sister, Myrtle Lee Fontenot Blankenship; her oldest son, Allen Dale Bazile and wife Brenda Bazile; and Daughter-in-law, Theresa Bazile.  Delores was a lifelong resident of Whitehall.  She retired from Red’s Restaurant at the age of 90 after working as a cook for 42 years.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren, and taking care of her daughter Valerie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Whitehall, Louisiana on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 9:30AM until NOON.  The Funeral Mass will begin at NOON.  Interment to follow in Whitehall Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Amedysis Hospice and St. James Hospital in Lutcher.
