Diane Witt Blanton

It pains me to say this but, apparently, I have passed away.  Not part of the big plan but, once again, I did not get my way. To my daughter and anyone else that I warned about coming back to haunt them, now is a good time to start sleeping with one eye open.  The good news is, I no longer must cook for picky eaters, not to mention LSU’s 2019 stellar football season – I am at peace now. The memories I take with me are much more precious than any gemstone known to mankind.

Diane Witt Blanton, 77 passed from this life, October 1, 2020.  Born on 11/11/1942 in Plaquemine, to Vivian Carlin and J.T Witt, and was a graduate of Port Allen High.  Diane is survived by her children Stacey Seguin-Fierro, Billie Jo Seguin, Michael S. Blanton, wife Amanda and bonus daughter, Donise Bergeron; siblings Terry Witt, wife Cynthia, Sheila (Nanny) Witt Devereaux, wife to the late Infamous Phil Devereaux and Roman Witt; grandchildren Blayne Seguin, wife Jade, Travis Blanton, wife Heidi, Matthew Blanton, Carleigh Oveson, husband Mark, Hannah Blanton, Aric Blanton, Lesley Blanton, and the late Zachary Blanton; great grandchildren Prissy Pot Brylee Jessa Seguin and Beau James Seguin; beloved and devoted friends Peggy Blount (aunt), Cynthia Witt and Renate McDonald.

Diane loved being “Granny” to her grandkids, LSU Sports and the Casino, any Casino! She will be missed dearly for her cornbread dressing and by all who knew her.  What is not to love about a woman who loved her children almost as much as she loved the LSU Tigers!

Special thanks to her Sister, friend, and care giver -Shelia Devereaux. To Michael E. Blanton for being more than just a “stepfather” to her girls, for loving and caring for ALL the kids and grandkids.

Please join in celebrating the life of Diane on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the home of Richard and Patricia Seguin Cmiel 713 7th St, Port Allen, LA: open house from 1 pm until balloon release at 3 pm.

Put on your favorite LSU gear and help celebrate Diane, tailgate style. Jambalaya, white beans, and finger foods will be served.
