Don Mccarrol
Don McCarrol, a project manager and life-long resident of Bayou Barbary, Louisiana, peacefully passed away after a long battle on February 1, 2021 at the age of 62 surrounded by family.
Don was born in Gonzales, Louisiana on November 13, 1958. He graduated from the College of Engineering at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 2001 with a degree in Construction Management.
He is survived by his mother Lois Zeigler Starkey; his siblings Debby Arledge (Edmond Arledge), Steve McCarrol (Trish McCarrol) and Paul McCarrol (Dana McCarrol); his children Seth McCarrol, Amanda McCarrol (Ernesto Garcia) and Shannon McCarrol (Dustin Reinninger) and their mother Tammy Kirk McCarrol (David Guy); his grandchildren Jacob Curtis, Saylor McCarrol, Elio Garcia and Mia Garcia. He is preceded in death by his father Lloyd McCarrol.
Don loved to play music. He played the banjo, the guitar and the harmonica. He was an avid CB radio enthusiast who spent his time on channel 21 under the handle, Country Hick. He worked as a carpenter for many years and still enjoyed building with his hands when he was able. He was a loving father and he will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 25153 Zeigler Cemetery Road Livingston, La 70754 on Saturday February 6 at noon. Arrangements with Church Funeral Services 225-644-9683
