Don Walter Stevens, 84 passed away October 25,2019. with his wife of 58 years by his side Mary V. Stevens. He was a lifelong resident of St. Amant. He enjoyed working in the yard,crawfishing, and enjoyed time with family. Don and Mary had 4 children- Sons: Shane and spouse Sherri Stevens, Shannon Stevens, Shelly Stevens and late spouse Mona Higginbotham, Daughter: Cissy Stevens Billiot and spouse Daren Billiot. He had 8 grandchildren; Shae, Amber, Samantha, Mary, Maegan, Garrett, Erin, Daren Jr. and 6 great-grandchildren; Brody, Brady, Brooks, Asher, Breck, and Remi.
Don retired from Parish of Ascension Public Works and former employee of Stevens Meat Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents ; W.E. Bill Stevens and Mary Ory Stevens- Siblings; ‘Jack’ Alton Stevens , Ralph ‘Curtis’ Stevens, Murray Stevens, Millard Stevens, Eugene ‘Cookie’ Stevens, Verley Stevens Duplessis, Mary Stevens Goodgame , Sonny Stevens. Survived by Betty Stevens Lambert.
Honorary pallbearers; Daren Billiot Sr., Daren Billiot Jr., Garrett Stevens, Justin Bumgardner & Paul Cummins.
As requested by the family a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
