Doris H. Gautreau

Doris H. Gautreau, a native of Paradis and resident of Gonzales, passed away peaceful at her residence with her family by her side. Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the age of 80. Doris loved her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and fishing. Doris is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Blair (Todd); sons, Shelby “Doty” Gautreau Jr., Dennis Gautreau, Darrell Gautreau (Rhonda); grandchildren, Denise Hebert (Seth), Dena Tripp (Kent), Adam Gautreau (Leslie), Mandi Butler (Cody), Jenna Lemmon (Kevin), Chad Peterson (Rachel), Allie Maina (Dustin), Megan St. Pierre (Chris), Hali Sanchez (Joel), Gerrie Martin; 22 great grandchildren, 3 brothers Stephen ”Whitey” Hebert (Janice), Ronald Hebert, Johnny Braud, (Troy) as well as numerous other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Gautreau, Sr.; grandson, Devin “Bubba” Blair; daughter-in-law, Kris Gautreau; great grandson, Rhett H. Butler; great niece, Zoie Willford; her parents; six brothers, and one sister. A private memorial to celebrate Doris’ life will be celebrated at a later date. The family would like to thank her sitter, Anita B. May, Pinnacle Hospice, especially Brittany, Lyric, and Shelly for all the special care they gave to Doris. The family also would like to thank Denise, Dena, and Rhonda for helping care for her the last 4 years. Thank you to the spouses of her children and grandchildren, Todd, Seth, Kent for all the wonderful support given in the most difficult time. They are also thankful to Aggressor Adventure for allowing Dennis to come home early to spend time with his mother on her last days.
