In loving memory of Dorothy Thompson Naul who was called upon by our Father on Monday, January 18, 2021, at the age of 91 following a hard-fought battle with pneumonia due to Covid-19. Dorothy was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt & Friend. She was beloved by so many with whom she shared her Grace & Love. Dorothy was a Southern Lady with a Kind Heart & Soul and a True Love of the Lord. She was born on February 15th, 1929 the Eight child of John Richard Thompson and Mary Lydia Venable Thompson. Dorothy (Dot) was a resident of Gonzales and a native of Clinton & Greensburg. She loved camping, the outdoors, working in her yard, painting, crafts, sewing, birds and visiting with her friends and family. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Gonzales, a founding member of Florida Blvd. Baptist Church and a member of Bluff Creek Baptist Church. Due to Covid-19, Burial will be held in a Private Ceremony in the Naul Family Cemetery, Clinton, LA conducted by Rev Jim Law of First Baptist Church of Gonzales. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 73 years Frank Hatcher Naul; son, Kenneth Wayne Naul and daughters Kathy Naul Ricca (Tim) and Lisa Naul Carter (John). Grandchildren Melissa Naul Fryday, Heather Naul Pyburn, Jeffrey Wayne Naul, Camryn Celine Carter, Hatcher Lorenzo Carter and several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Ronald Martin Naul, grandson Lee-Michael Naul, Daughter-in-law Linda Goudeau Naul, her parents, John Richard & Mary Lydia Thompson & siblings, Nolan Thompson, Jeff Thompson, Audrey Thompson Pace, Dewitt Thompson, Dicey Thompson Conlon Clark, Preston Thompson & Alvin Thompson. Arrangements were entrusted to The Church Funeral Services and Crematory. Special thanks to Baton Rouge General MidCity ICU, Butterfly Hospice & Dr. Oana Petcu.
