Dwain Lamar Adams, 76, longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at The Carpenter House. Dwain was a native of Alexander City, Alabama, and veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a paratrooper before being honorably discharged in 1965. After working at Exxon’s Baton Rouge refinery for over 25 years, he retired as a supervisor and spent his remaining working years pursuing entrepreneurial endeavors as a property owner. Dwain lived a full life, fueled by his passion for fishing, LSU sports, and his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Forace Adams of Chilton County, Alabama, and survived by his wife and beloved life partner, Noel Bernard Adams; his son, Michael Adams (Cindy); his daughter, Angela Williams (Dan); his grandchildren, Alyssa Walock (Austin), Kaitlyn Adams (Brandon), and Jordan, Jaden, and Jarett Williams. He is also survived by his brother, Wayland Adams and his children and grandchildren, as well as his niece, Lynn Nipper (Brad), who Dwain loved as his daughter, and her children, Catherine, Benjamin, and Elizabeth, who he loved as his grandchildren.
