Earl James Vasseur, of Gonzales, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 at the age of 81 years old. Born on December 27th, 1943, in Eunice, Louisiana. Earl was a son to the late Adrian Vasseur, Sr. and Martha Vasseur (LeBeouf). Earl was 1 of 5 siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Adrian V. Jr., Joseph V., Louis V., and Shelby V. as well as his wife for over 50 years, Mrs. Grace Vasseur (Henry) and beautiful daughter, Lisa Kay Vasseur. He is survived by his amazing grandson, Trey Daniel LeBlanc (Faith Donaldson) and amazing great grandchildren, Paislee Grace LeBlanc (7) and Parker Joseph LeBlanc (5 mo.) He was honored to be given the name “Big Paw-Paw” by his great granddaughter, Paislee. Earl took pride in his family and enjoyed the outdoors, cutting grass and hunting with his family and friends. If you were lucky to stop by Fisherman’s One Stop located in St. Amant, Louisiana for a cup of coffee, there’s a chance you ran into Mr. Earl. He knew just about anything and anyone in Louisiana. He supported his St. Amant Gators everyday while sporting his favorite STA hat. He loved to speak Cajun French to others. All who knew him loved him dearly and will truly miss him.
