Elaine Marie Newman

Elaine Marie Newman was born March 18, 1944, in Galliano, LA. and passed from this life October 29, 2024, surrounded by her family at the age of 80. Resident of Monroe, LA. Since 1985.

Elaine loved sewing and craft shows, she loved taking care of her puppies.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Winnie and Edless Pitre; brothers, Raymond Pitre and Mike Pitre; brother-in-law, Todd Newman; and first husband, Dale Pierce.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 45 years, Stephen Newman; son, Thad Pierce, daughter, Dena McElerney (Patrick); brother, Loveless Pitre and sister, Beverly Boudreaux (Hank); mother-in-law, Donna Newman; four grandchildren, Forest Pierce, Kami Pierce, Sean McElerney; Corinn McElerney; two great-grandchildren, Kaden Pierce and Catalina Terrill; God-daughter, Tara Dillon; Also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
