Elizabeth Ruth Nutefall

Elizabeth Ruth Nutefall, 74, of Ponchatoula passed away at North Oaks Hospital Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in Hammond, Louisiana.

Elizabeth was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and a friend; whether she was known as Elizabeth, Ruth, Ruthie, or Mawmaw, she dedicated herself to and enjoyed every second with her family. Throughout her decades of charity work at All Saints Episcopal Church and within her community, Elizabeth had a lasting impact on many lives.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband of over forty years, John Nutefall; her parents Thomas and Gloria Maher; brother-in-laws Charlie Dave Clark and Mark Higginbotham; niece Michele Higginbotham McFadden; and nephew Henry Higginbotham..

She is survived by her son Jesse McCorkle, daughter Colleen Marie Nutefall Ladnier and husband Jimmie, son Michael Fredrick Nutefall and wife Danielle; granddaughter Tiffany Nutefall, granddaughter Jessica Dagel and husband Morgan, grandson Jonathan Ladnier and wife Kelsey, granddaughter KeeLee Pipper and husband Matthew; great-grandchildren Vanessa Madison, Liam Ladnier, Wesley Madison, and Benjamin Dagel; siblings Shelly Whited and husband Wayne, Rhonda Clark, and Thomas Maher Jr. and wife Cindy; sister-in-law Julia McCorkle Higginbotham; great nieces and nephew she raised Sara, Elizabeth and Jacob McFadden, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025; visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 250 West Hickory Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana, 70454. Elizabeth will be interred in the memorial garden following the service.
