Eric “Bird Dog” Wunstel

Eric “Bird Dog” Wunstel of Gonzales, LA passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the age of 55. Beloved father of Dustin Wunstel and son of Herman and Carolyn Wunstel.  Eric is also survived by a brother, Chris (Stacey); niece, Megan Melancon (Kyle); nephews, Corey (Celeste) & Christopher Dotson; great-nephew Canaan, great niece Paisley Melancon; and significant other Lori VanSickel. He is preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael Joseph. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at St. Mark Church, 42021 Hwy 621, Gonzales, LA on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 9AM until 11AM.  The Memorial Mass will begin at 11AM.  Interment to follow at Hope Haven Mausoleum, Hwy 30.
