Ernest Ray Alford Sr.

Ernest Ray Alford Sr., affectionately known as "Ernie or Pop’s" lived a beautiful life and went to his enteral home on September 19th 2024. He was born March 26th 1942 to loving parents, William Ernest Alford, and Annie Lea Adison Alford.

Ernie was a hardworking electrician for many years before retirement in 1993. He loved watching westerns and spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers; Carlie Lee Alford, Charles Ray Alford, William Earl Alford, Freddie Andrew Alford, sister Joyce Alford, sons: Jonathan Lane Alford and Ernest Ray Alford Jr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories: son, Herman "Slick" Alford and wife Tonya, son Steven Alford, daughter, Anna Alford; five grandchildren, Taylor Alford, Jordan Alford, Megan Alford, Brittany Weatherford, Donald "DJ" Weatherford; nine great grandchildren; Xander Alford, Avery Lasyone, Lilly Morvant, Alayna Norris, Brayden Terrell, Cayson Terrell, Lenox Weatherford, Elias Acosta, Aidan Lowery. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 29th 2024 from 1pm till 3pm at Wholly Ground 27988 Walker South Road, Walker, LA 70785.
