Eugene Paul Moran

Eugene Paul Moran, a resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the age of 79. Butchie loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and pets. Butchie enjoyed staying busy working in his yard and shed, cutting grass, watching LSU and Saints football. He was a deer hunter and growing up, his children fondly remember him taking their family to the hunting camp for their family’s yearly trip. Butchie worked as a Millwright for many years at many chemical plants across Louisiana.

Butchie is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Moran; children, La’Shell Anthony (Paul), Chad Moran, Tonya Moran, Rachel Castillo (Eddie), Richard Trabeaux Jr.; grandchildren, Dustin Gueldner, who saw Eugene as a father figure, John Anthony, Piper Anthony, Derrick Guedry, Dayla Guedry, Megan Trabeaux, Samantha Trabeaux; great grandchildren, Bladen, Kobey, Noah, Peyton, Eli, Ethan; special great nephew, Loki Naquin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Morris Paul and Eva Lambert Moran.
