Felicia Moneck Wessinger was born on December 15th, 1976, to the late Doris Ann Wessinger and Ricky McClain. She was a a native of Baton Rouge, LA and she was educated in the East Baton Rouge school system. Afterwards, Felicia became a caregiver with the Dunbar Sitter Service.
Felicia transitioned from her Earthly home to her Heavenly home on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA.
Felicia enjoyed spending time with family, playing with the beloved poodle Mya, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and playing games on her phone.
Felicia leaves to cherish her precious memories; her devoted husband of 30 years Steve Sheppard, her beloved puppy Mya, her father Ricky McClain, three aunts Cynthia Wessinger, Velma Harris, Alicia McClain - all of Baton Rouge, LA; two uncles Ernest Brock of Oakland, CA and Alfred Wessinger of Baton Rouge, LA; two great aunts Gloria Dean Wessinger of Lafayette, LA and Linda Wessinger of Baton Rouge, LA; god children Kelsey Sheppard and Benjamin Square, god sisters Alecia Watson, Ashley Barnes, and Anyah Harris; god brother Alvin Watson JR., sister-in-laws Sharon, Shelia, Angel, Linda, Coty and Paris Sheppard, brother-in-laws John, Joel, and Johnny Sheppard - all of Baton Rouge; as well as a host of cousins and friends.
Felicia was preceded in death by her infant daughter Miracle Chanise Sheppard and son Anthony Sheppard; her beloved mother Doris Ann Wessinger, maternal grandparents Estell Brock and Noah Wessinger Jr.; paternal grandparents Lafayette and Louise Northern, three aunts Rosemary Wessinger, Bernice Byrd, and Alfreda Watson; six uncles Willie Haynes, Lindsey Brock, Larry Horace, Terry, and Noah Wessinger III; four cousins Willie James, Torry, Jonathan Wessinger, and Tracy Tipton; mother-in-law Maryann Sheppard.
A celebration of life service for Felicia will be held on Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at New Beginnings Ministries 5925 Foster Dr. Baton Rouge, LA 70805 for 10:00 AM. Services will be officiated by Pastor Robert Williams. An interment at Heavenly Gates cemetery in Baton Rouge, LA will take place at a later time.
Felicia was loved by so many, and will be missed by just as much.
