Gladys Joan Hebert

Gladys (Joan) Hebert, of Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on December 8, 1941 in Bastrop, LA.

Joan was a beloved wife to Whitney Hebert, to whom she was married for 63 years. Together, they raised five children: Debra Rice, Joan (Beth) Duchesne, Susan McCarty, Whitney (Matt) Hebert, and Amy Staggs.

Family was the center of Joan's life, and she was a devoted and loving mother. Joan was also a proud grandmother to her grandchildren: David Duchesne, Destinee McCarty, Miranda Duchesne, Hannah Babineaux, April Lively, Cameron Hebert, Andrew Rice, Coltan Staggs, Camille Hebert, and Elise Hebert. Joan also had 10 great-grandchildren whom she adored. Her family brought her immense joy and happiness. 

Throughout her life, Joan was known for her kind and generous spirit. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved her God, her family, and her cats and dogs. In her free time she enjoyed walking, drinking coffee, and attending church. She was a long-standing member of the Pentecostals of the Twin Cities. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May Gladys Joan Hebert rest in peace, knowing that she was cherished by her family and friends, and that her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A private ceremony was held remembering Joan in the presence of close family.
