Gloria Diaz Alfonso
It is with great sadness that the family of Gloria Diaz Alfonso (Goyita) announces her passing on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, after a Covid-19 infection. She is survived by her husband Luis. Gloria will be lovingly remembered, by her sisters Isabel, Nahyr, and Sonia, and her brothers Guillermo and Fabio, nephews and nieces and her extended family in the U.S. and Colombia.
Gloria was born in Colombia on July 1, 1947. She moved to the U.S. to pursue her professional career. During her 55 years as public-school teacher, Gloria was a tireless worker and devoted educator who touched many kids´ lives, in very positive ways. Her legacy will remain with her beloved students and us.
Due to the current pandemic restrictions, no funeral services will be offered.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends of Gloria Diaz Alfonso who prefer to provide a memorial contribution may do so. The family will use these to honor Gloria’s life and memory. Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts throughout this challenging time.
