Gloria Dell Gabel

On March 31, 2025, Gloria Dell Fugler Gabel’s life ended here on earth, and she began a new life with her Lord. She was totally loved by her husband, her family, and her friends for her overwhelming sweetness. In all situations she always put everyone else first.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Paul Gabel, the true love of her life for 64 years; and her parents, Benjamin Franklin Fugler and Annie Laura Fugler.

She is survived by her children, Karen Elledge, Mona Hand (Bruce), Laura Farlow (Brian), and her son, Ben. Grandchildren are Suzanne Boyd (Chad), Landon Elledge, Leslie Cope (Preston), Luke Hand (Heidi), Jeff Hand (Brooke), Emily Stilley (Patrick), Brandt Farlow, Brett Farlow (Erica), Rachel DiMaria (Michael), Rebekah Riccobono (Jed) and Blake Farlow (Julianna). She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, with one more on the way. Her surviving siblings are Linda May, Bea Kemp, Annie Fulger and Raymond Fulger.

Gloria and Paul spent their years together building their house, raising their children, taking many family camping trips, wonderful vacations, and spent their empty nest years square dancing with The Denham Dancers. They were faithful members of New Covenant Church and The Legacy Sunday School Class. If words could sum up mom’s life from birth to death it would be her faith and her family. In her own words “It was a wonderful life”.

Visitation will be at Amite Baptist Church, 7100 Amite Church Rd, Denham Springs, LA, on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 9:30 am until service at 11:00 am. A graveside service will be held at Whispering Oaks Cemetery following the service for her extended family.
