Hazel Ann Pack Fleming was born on November 8, 1939, in Ontario, Pennsylvania, to William and Anna Pack. She was a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 84.
Hazel worked in the Department of the Navy at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., where she met the love of her life, Tom. They married in 1960 in Washington, D.C. and moved to Louisiana shortly thereafter.
Hazel was known for her hospitality and kindness. Enough cannot be said about the concern she showed to others. She liked her crosswords, her flowers in the yard, and she loved spending time with family and friends.
Hazel’s spiritual career began as a young adult, and she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed sharing her hope for the future with others.
Hazel was loved and will be greatly missed by her surviving family: her husband, Thomas A. Fleming of Baton Rouge, LA; a son, Nathan Fleming (Yolanda) of Baton Rouge, LA; daughters, Esther Fleming of Baton Rouge, LA; and Heather Fleming of Alexandria, LA; a sister, Jane Kubena (Fred) of Claysville, PA; grandchildren Frankie Camargo of Baton Rouge, LA; Angel Reyes of Baton Rouge, LA; David Reyes of Baton Rouge, LA and Wendy Reyes of Baton Rouge, LA; great grandchildren Liam Camargo of Baton Rouge, LA and Camila Reyes of Baton Rouge, LA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Pack; her brother, Wayne Pack and in-laws Robert and Nettie Fleming.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2562 Toulon Drive, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816.
