Hazel M Avants

On Monday February 21 Hazel M Avants, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, went to her eternal home, surrounded by love ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living there lives to the fullest.

Hazel was blessed with a loving family and many friends She married her best friend Lee “Tokey” Avants on September 1, 1960. Hazel had a loving and kind spirit. She was known by her contagious laugh and the love she had for everyone she was around.

Hazel was proceeded in death by her parents Vincent and Marie Hartner, Brother Lewis Hartner and Son Jason Lee Avants. She is survived by her husband Lee “Tokey” Avants, Daughter Sharon, Spouse Mitchell Johnston, Daughter Charlotte Weaver, and Son Harold “Butch” Avants, Wife Sandra. Grandchildren Dewey and Amanda Weaver, Taylor Irvine, Husband Josh, Kimberly, Kayln, and Dakota Avants along with numerous Great Grandchildren.

A Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 5, for family and friends at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement; visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by funeral service at 12:00pm.
