Huey Pierre "Gerald" Jacob Sr.

Huey Pierre “Gerald” Jacob Sr., a resident of Maurepas, LA, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 85.  Gerald was a wonderful entertainer and carpenter.  He loved playing the guitar and telling jokes.   Gerald was a loving father, pawpaw, brother, uncle, great grandpa, and friend.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and having a good time.   

Gerald is survived by his children, Huey P Jacob, Jr., Robin Jacob Himel (Craig);2 grandchildren, Tiffny M. Merritt and Karleigh R. Mouch; 8 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Sylvia Jacob Acaldo, Debra Jacob Savoy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who were all loved very much.  

He is preceded in death by his parents; Esther and Malus Jacob; siblings, Delores Jacob Clouatre, Janelle Jacob Breaux, Roland J. Jacob, Sr., Linden A. Jacob, Eugene J. Jacob.  

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph Hospice for their kindness and compassion during the family’s time of need.

A service to celebrate Gerald’s life will be held at a later date.
