Born on March 23, 1978, in New Orleans, LA and resided in Baton Rouge, LA for the past 22 years. Nicky attended Family Worship Center. He is survived by his 6 children, Brandon Bleakley (Brianna), Nicholas Holmes III, Natalie Holmes, Julian Holmes, Isabella Holmes, Santino Holmes. His parents Nicholas Sr & Jaye Holmes, siblings, Rachael Anderson, Quentin Holmes (Ngoc), Lilly Holmes Howard (Chris); as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Nicky went home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior, unexpectedly at the age of 43 on January 18th, 2022. He attended BRCC and LSU. Nicholas’ passion was cooking for others, talking politics, and ministering the Word of God to people he knew and did not know. He had a big heart, a wonderful smile and he made people laugh (until you played Monopoly with him) with his quirky wit. Nicky will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His mother says Nicky never left her home or hung up the phone with her without Nicky saying “I love you Mom” so many times! Family and friends of Nicky are invited to attend a memorial to celebrate his life, which will be held at Family Worship Center in the Crossfire Auditorium, 8919 World Ministry Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70810 on February 12, at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm and the memorial service will begin at 2:30 pm. Arrangements entrusted with Church Funeral Services of Baton Rouge.
