In Loving Memory Of Kathy Malbrough

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Kathy Malbrough on Monday, April 4, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement, LA. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am with mass to follow at noon. Kathy passed away on March 30, 2022 at the age of 71. She was born in New Orleans and a resident of Gonzales, LA. She graduated in 1968 from Maurepas High School where she enjoyed playing basketball and was crowned Miss Maurepas. She was a retired insurance agent and one of the owners of Hughes Malbrough Insurance and Malbrough Insurance. Kathy was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, a member of the Rotary Ann’s, a Paul Harris Fellow and a member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic church. She enjoyed shopping with her daughters and mother. Kathy enjoyed visiting family where there was lots of cooking and eating as well as drinking coffee and playing games. She enjoyed trips with the family to King George, Thunderbird Beach and Biloxi. She also enjoyed listening to and dancing to Swamp Pop music and going to the casino. Kathy “Mama Oosie” is survived by her husband of 46 years, Tony “Oosie” Malbrough; son, Chad (Aledia) Sanchez; daughters, Britney (Dale) LeBlanc and Birney Malbrough; stepchildren, Toni (Richard) Boe, Amy (Derek) Solar, and Kurt (Nancy) Malbrough; brothers, Phillip and Glenn Berthelot. Grandchildren, Leighton Greene, Shaun Laiche, Ryan Solar, Brandt Solar, Aleigh Solar, Cle’ Sanchez, Kori Malbrough, Harris LeBlanc, Caroline Sanchez, Britton LeBlanc, Kameron Malbrough, Cohen LeBlanc and great grandson, Carter Laiche. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Jestine Berthelot, sisters in law Karen and Deanna Berthelot.
